  • New Book!
    At the November meeting the club celebrated the publishing of John Snell's new book entitled "Red River Gorge My Second Home" with a slideshow and presentation by John and a reception afterwards.  John signed personalized copies of the book for those wishing to purchase.  It was a fun celebration of humor, humility and success.  Congratulations, John!

  • Recent By-Laws Changes
    At the November meeting members present voted unanimously to increase club dues.  Beginning in 2016 individual dues will be $25 and family membership dues will be $32.  The club by-laws have been updated to reflect the dues change.  The club also voted to add a new monthly competition class, Novice, for 2016.  Click for more details on the monthly competitions.  A summary of all changes may be found here.

  • First Thursday in November
    At the 1st Thursday meeting for November Joe Omielan gave a presentation on monitor calibration and Jeff Lackey lead a discussion on color management.  There was good audience participation and dialog on both topics.  Both of thepresentations are available as PDFs in the Member Tips section of the web site.

Club Competition Information

The Creative Camera Club generally holds five bi-monthly club competitions each year every other month starting in February.  The club Vice President is responsible for conducting all meeting competitions and is in charge of tabulating results of voting.  All competitions are by digital submission and two entries per member are allowed.  

The email address for image entry submission is ccclexcontest@gmail.com.  All entries must be received by 11:59 pm on the Sunday prior to the competition.  No exceptions will be allowed for entries received after the deadline or entries which were emailed to an incorrect address.

See the following article for general tips for image preparation are located in Member Tips section of the Resouces page.   Submitted images should be formatted to fit within the maximum pixel dimensions of the club projector (no more than 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels high).  File names should include the member name, competition class and type.  Detailed competition rules may be found on the Compete page.

We have prepared step-by-step video instruction for several popular applications.  The videos below include instructions for proper file sizing, image renaming, file formats and more:
Club Calendar 

Our new interactive club Calendar shows all CCC sponsored events and activities. Click on a calendar item for additional details. If you are a Google Calendar user you may add the club calendar to your own.

If you add the calendar to your own Google Calendar you will be able to view the club calendar using a mobile calendar application (IOS or Andriod). You can also add event reminders (pop-ups or email) for scheduled events, and receive either email or SMS notifications to event changes, cancellations, responses and additions.
